Caramelized puff pastry cookies

- 1 package puff pastry, kept very cold

Steps:

1. Sprinkle sugar on rolling surface.

2. Roll dough on sugar so top and bottom are coated.

3. Form an 8×12 rectangle; sprinkle more sugar.

4. Roll both sides inward to meet in the middle.

5. Keep dough cold; slice about 1/4-inch thick.

6. Place on cold cookie sheet, 3/4-inch apart.

7. Bake at 450°F for 5 minutes, flip, and bake 5 minutes more.


Notes:

- They spread when baked

- Never use anything but cold cookie sheets
