Bourbon Sauce

Sauce for bread pudding or desserts

- 1 cup brown sugar

- 1/8 cup white Karo syrup

Steps:

1. Combine brown sugar, Karo syrup, cream, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg in a saucepan.

2. Bring mixture to a boil while stirring.

3. After it begins to boil, remove from heat.

4. Stir in 1/4 to 1/2 cup bourbon (within the range provided).

5. Mix well and serve warm over bread pudding or chocolate spice pudding.


Notes:

- Intended for drizzling over desserts.

- Very rich, sweet, and spiced.

- Bourbon is added after boiling, not before.
